In July 2024, Mercury hosted an exclusive press trip to celebrate and mark the construction-start of Luštica Bay’s newest development, The Peaks, featuring the country’s first-ever upcoming golf course and residences. Hosted in collaboration with golfing legend and golf course designer, Gary Player, guests were treated to a VIP reception and meet and greet – an outstanding experience, especially for the golf enthusiasts!
Mercury team members, Laura, Jules, Ellie and Taz welcomed an incredible group of property and lifestyle journalists, together with golf influencers. In total, we had 18 guests join us in Luštica Bay, including media, influencers and international journalists. The four-day trip covered all interests for our guests, from interactive talks and discussions surrounding the development of the course and property development, to more relaxed beach days and gorgeous dining settings each day. We also had a boat tour arranged, visiting the historic Lady of the Rocks and touring the Old Town.
We learnt about the transformative project from both the Luštica Bay team and Gary Player himself, who officially unveiled the golf course, taking the inaugural swing in front of our guests. This was a memorable moment of the trip, and our media were delighted to have the option to take a swing beside the legend himself. An evening cocktail reception followed the press Q&A, and we saw another spectacular swing by Gary Player, the perfect-picture moment.
As a result of a truly successful trip, meeting the expectations of the upcoming destination, we received beautiful social coverage throughout the trip, followed by articles across property, travel and golf featured in top tier publications including the Evening Standard, The Telegraph, This is Money, Country and Town House, Bunkered and a broadcast segment in CNN’s Living Golf.
